The Building Project

In 2016, the School Board of Trustees approved two $2 million dollar bond projects to fund necessary improvements within our district. One $2 million bond will cover the major renovation projects at MCHS and will include the demolition of B and E wings, relocation and renovation of the current library space into a Makers Space, and relocation of the main entrance to the building.

The second $2 million bond will cover a security upgrade to all buildings within the district.  Safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors within our buildings is a priority. We work closely with local law enforcement and provide training resources for teachers and building staff on a routine basis.  This project will include upgrading of internal and external security cameras, monitors, and systems, as well as, centralized, secured entrance points at each building location.

Our goal is to continue to identify opportunities and funding in order to continue to upgrade our facilities in order to improve efficiencies and maintenance. As projects are prioritized, funding is approved, and work begins we will continue to post updates and photos as projects progress.
