Hello and welcome to Madison Consolidated Schools!

Madison Consolidated Schools is a comprehensive Pre K- 12 public school corporation which operates one high school (grades 9-12), one middle school (grades 5-8), four elementary schools (K-4), and one preschool (ages 3-4) serving approximately 2,700 students and their families in the Madison/Jefferson County, IN area.

Our goal is to create environments where students are challenged academically, creatively, and athletically. We inspire success through exploration of differentiated learning models, boost confidence through critical thinking and problem-solving, and encourage collaborative learning teamwork. Our schools offer rigorous academic curriculum including foreign language beginning in kindergarten, a district-wide focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) including extensive PLTW programming, a diverse curriculum path into our Fine Arts Academy, multi-faceted college and career readiness programs, and expanding work-based learning opportunities; just to mention a few!

We are intentionally creating partnerships with our community to further enhance the opportunities we are able to offer our students.
  • We have strategically aligned resources with Ivy Tech Community College in order to provide high school students dual credit/enrollment offerings, as well as, the opportunity to complete the TGEC (Transfer General Education Core), a full 30 credit hour package which transfers into every public, four-year university in Indiana.
  • We are working with area manufacturers to implement Cub Manufacturing, a work-based learning business model within our high school. Students in Cub Manufacturing learn all functional aspects of operating a business with hands-on experience in a manufacturing shop environment constructing various products from design to production.
  • We have strategically established various community sector partnerships as part of our college and career readiness initiative. Beginning as early as middle school, students are encouraged to begin exploration and information sharing within our academic pathways of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, and Health Science. Our goal, through our partnerships, is to connect students with mentors, internship, and externship opportunities as they find areas of interest.
We are committed to excellence and dedicated to strengthening the educational opportunity for all students in creative, safe, and challenging learning environments. Our goal is to provide engaging information which encourages further exploration of the many exciting opportunities Madison Consolidated Schools offers our students, their families, and our community.
