Thanksgiving Edition - November 22nd
Thankful
The next two days, November 23 and 24, will be hopefully our last two days of the red/white schedule. At this point, the plan is to be back in school, face-to-face, with our students who have been coming face-to-face. Virtual students will remain virtual through December. We have a lot of students coming back into the building in January.
Just a few key points I want to bring up:
1. If we are fortunate to have an athletic event or other extra-curricular activities, please wear your mask when you are not eating or drinking.
2. If your child misses a class they will be marked absent. They need to be on-time and present and actively participating when a teacher asks them questions. If you are having issues with the internet, call or email the teacher. For athletes or students that are in extra-curricular activities where attendance affects whether or not you participate in practice, events, or games, make sure you are doing everything in your power to communicate your issues with the teacher and your coach or sponsor.
3. If you need a work permit, you can come to the front office, door 1, and see Mrs. Karen Hall to obtain that.
4. Athletes needing a letter jacket, sizing will take place on Wednesday, December 2nd during lunches in the cafeteria.
5. Monday is a Red Day, periods 1,3,5, and 7.
6. We are moving the 1-on-1 meetings for class scheduling for the 2021-2022 school year back to January. Counselors will be in touch with you.
I hope you have a lot to be thankful for as we head into Thanksgiving break. I wish all of you the best and hope you are able to reflect on all the wonderful things in this world and with your families.
Sincerely,
Mr. Gasaway
